So my name Carel. This piece will get longer and longer.
Yes, that is my name, and I am from South Africa. I live in a small town just to the north of Pretoria. It is in the Limpopo Province. It is really in the heart of the bushveld. Beautyful area and small quiet town. Corrupt and falling apart like the rest of South Africa these days, but we are managing nevertheless.
I am Afrikaans, can speak English and I am learning Pedi as I go on. Pedi is the language of the local Bantu people. I think it might also be called Northen Sotho, but I was told there is a difference. My heart goes out to these people. Especially the old ones, and the very young ones. I see the babies at the back of the mothers and I cannot help but ask the Father to just be with them, just make them safe, warm and well fed.
